Medicare/ Private sessions

The session fee is $200 per 50 minute session. The Medicare rebate is $93.35 per session. Payment is by EFTPOS, credit card or cash. Your Medicare rebate is processed on the day of your appointment. This is usually paid by Medicare into your bank account within 24 hours.

Medicare rebates are available with the appropriate referral from your General Practitioner. Under the Medicare Better Access to Mental Health Care scheme, psychology services receive a rebate from the Australian Government (with the correct referral in place). If you are experiencing a recognised mental health condition, Medicare will cover part of your psychology fees for a specified number of sessions per calendar year. Medicare will only offer a rebate if you have obtained a Mental Health Care Plan [MHCP] from your GP. Without this, you cannot access the rebate of $93.35 per session. Feel free to enquire regarding this option when you make contact.

Private Health Insurance rebates are also available and dependent on the level of your extras cover (please enquire with your health fund as to the amount as it varies). Some private health insurers pay up to 80% of the fee.
